If what afore said was not enough, 3C2MD’s location is on the Bioko island’s western coast, significantly more exposed to bad weather and, due to the location immediately close to the Atlantic ocean’s shore, the most part of RF cable, connections and antennas will be, for 12 days, under constant threat of salt water. It become clear that it will be “top priority” for the technical management to seal and protect RF connections and all the antenna’s critical parts (i.e. RF choke, pre-amplifiers, PBFs, remote switches) in order to avoid any problems during the expedition, but, on the other hand, installers won’t have enough time to dedicate to the important matter of weather proofing during the rush of antennas’set-up: using the right products will save time with better result!
DX Engineering offers a wide range of products for the proper weather proofing and the afore described harsh conditions (directly and continously exposition to salt water, fequent rain showers, alternate to very warm\/high humidity weather) could allow us to test those products in order not only to give better performances to our operations but, as well, to show to the HAM community how worth could be to do the right thing, investing in the right products.
DX Engineering is on the market since 2000, dealer of top brand of amateur radio\u2019s stuff worlwide.
